MacounAn American apple named after Canadian fruit grower, the Macoun was developed in Geneva, NY, as a sweet eating apple. Once thought to be a parent of the Honeycrisp, Macouns are still among the sweetest apples. While easy to find south of the border, the Macoun is only available at a handful of Ontario orchards. Best enjoyed fresh but also great for pies and baking.
