School Tours
Our school tours have concluded for the season. Tours will be available starting in September 2023. Please fill out the inquiry form below to start planning your trip.
Topics Covered
- Apple varieties, growth stages, proper handling and picking technique
- Orchard planting and management practices, both traditional and modern
- Bee keeping and honey making; wild pollinator activity, health and encouragement
- Working with nature to grow food and the journey from farm to fork
- Environmental sustainability, native wildlife species and their role on the farm
- How we grow pumpkins, corn, sunflowers, and sheep
What you can Expect
- An engaging presentation from our instructors
- A trek through the corn maze or obstacle course
- A walk around the property and visit with the sheep
- An apple picking demonstration. Every student gets to pick!
- A cider pressing demonstration and tasting
- All groups take a pumpkin and a bag of apples back to the classroom
- Additional apples, pumpkins and cider are available as add-ons
- Tours last 2 hours with time to load and unload the bus
Tips for parents and teachers
- We assign one guide to each class and have room for a maximum of 4 classes (120 students)
- Tours are rain or shine! All guests (students and adults) should wear closed-toed shoes or boots, warm/weatherproof clothing and hats and mits if it is going to be cold
- Picnic lunches are permitted, however, it is up to the chaperones to supervise after the tour is completed. Please call to arrange
- A teacher/chaperone to student ratio of at least 1:5 is encouraged
Pricing
- Students are $10 + HST, minimum 20 students required for booking ($200)
- Teachers, support staff and parent chaperones, up to 1 adult per 5 students, are included
- Additional parents above the 1:5 ratio are subject to the $10 + HST fee

- 4L jug of sweet apple cider $8/ea
- Mini pumpkins $1/ea (a great individual take home!)
